I enjoy helping people grow and change through the therapy process. I believe all people deserve a life that is their best life. All people can experience emotional growth and gain strength in areas in which they may be lacking understanding or skills.
I approach therapy holistically by looking for connections in and connecting mental/emotional, physical and spiritual well being. My role is guide you toward insight, healing and growth as an individual and to teach you coping strategies that will allow you to lessen your symptoms.
I have worked with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, women’s issues including life transitions, and relationship struggles, domestic violence, children of domestic violence. I have experience with the homeless population, Veterans, Pre-K through high school, dementia care patients and patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorders.
I have led groups for anger management, middle school behavior, women’s night shelter, social skills for developmentally challenged individuals, Women In Transition Group, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Juvenile First Offenders groups and Teen Depression.
A native of Idaho I have settled in the beautiful Montrose area and have lived in Colorado since 2011. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors and find it rejuvenating. I also enjoy making and displaying art. I am a mother, grandmother and former art teacher.
